Ice - The Grinch

Grandma and Grandpa took Jack to Opryland to see some amazing ice sculptures of The Grinch. He loved everything about the experience and didn't mind the cold (Grandpa did!) Jack especially loved sliding down the ice slide...over and over and over again!

Nashville Christmas Parade

On December 5th, Jack, Grandma, Grandpa and I braved the COLD and headed downtown for the Christmas parade. It definitely wasn't the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but Jack enjoyed the fireworks, floats, and balloons. He absolutely loved the high school bands that played...or maybe he just liked my dancing to the band's music. It was literally freezing outside, so it's a good thing we left Daddy and Sawyer at home.

Sawyer James...our BUNDLE of joy!

"Little" Sawyer is just full of life now! He's a whopping 16 1/2 pounds of smiles, laughter, coos and fun! Don't get me wrong...when he cries he could wake the dead, but luckily he's a happy guy most of the time. Sawyer has started sucking his left thumb, and is starting to notice his feet now...I forgot how absolutely adorable that can be. He must have read what I wrote on my last post about him not rolling over for a long time because the very next morning he rolled over three times in a row. He seems to enjoy being on his tummy a lot now, but he flips over pretty quickly! Sawyer is smitten with his brother and tries to find him at all times (he always hears him!). He loves our massages at night and the silly songs we sing with him...yes, "Powder my balls" is back and Jack sings it with us! Thankfully, he's sleeping really well at night, too. We put him down between 7:30 and 8, and he typically eats only once before he wakes up around 7. Hallelujah! We are having so much fun with our roly-poly baby!

Jack Attack

Jack is really in the Christmas spirit this year! He runs around singing "Jingle Bells", "Deck the Halls" and "Frosty the Snowman" all day long and wants to read "The Polar Express" 100 times a day! He loves playing with his new nativity set that Grandmommy and Grandfather sent him, and knows that Baby Jesus was born on XMAS Day. Jack got to meet Santa on Sunday, and he was a little tongue-tied...he did manage to tell him that he wants a guitar. Jack is a bundle of energy right now, and he's really starting to show genuine kindness towards his "little" brother. He's definitely all boy, but a super sweet one. He loves helping us in the kitchen (made cookies with Grandma and Grandpa today), playing "Go Fish" and dominoes, and running all over the house. He's starting to develop a great imagination, too...he plays a fun monster game, pretends to be our doctor and talks to his stuffed animals now. We can't get enough of him! :)

Thankul for so many things!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving over at the Baron's house. The big boys loved drinking beer together, the medium boys (Jack and Coop) loved running around together, and the little boys (Sawyer and Tucker) were just happy to be held and played with! We have so much to be thankful for this year...a healthy new baby, an amazing two year old, a wonderful marriage, our loving family, fabulous friends and our health.
