Take me out to the ball game (and hockey game)

We've been sporadically enjoying some beautiful weather here in Nashville, so we got the boys out to a Vanderbilt baseball game a couple weeks ago. They LOVED being outside, giving high fives to the players and just being "all together as a family." (Jack's big on this right now!). Grandma and Grandpa joined us for the fun, too! Of course, Jack's favorite part was singing away during the Seventh Inning Stretch. Not sure he'll be the next winner of American Idol, but the kid loves to sing.

Last Thursday night, Scott and Jack had a special date together for a Predators game. I got amazing free tickets from work, and the boys had a blast together. Eating peanuts, meeting the mascot, Nash, and being ALONE with his daddy were the highlights of the night!!

6 month Sawyer

So really he's almost seven months, but I'm a little behind! These pics show that all Sawyer wants to do these days is put everything and anything in his mouth and move, move, move. He is enjoying the freedom of sitting on his own but REALLY wants to crawl. He pushes up (not an easy task with his belly), realizes that's not happening and then just inches his way around on his belly. Jack is still his favorite toy/person despite his older brother antagonistic acts! Today, Jack was using our kitchen tongs as tools around the house and asked me if he could fix Sawyer's eyes with the tongs. I let Sawyer know that he is welcome to roll over and pin Jack down (which he could) if his brother ever comes near him with those tongs!

They don't know it quite yet...

But they'll be the best of friends! Sawyer and Tucker are enjoying each other's company at JR's first birthday party.

Mr. Blue Eyes

Can't get enough of this sweet boy who melts my heart each day.

Like father, like son

People often comment that Jack is my little clone. Check out this pair and their similarities! BTW, Sawyer weighed 20 pounds, 11 ounces at his six month checkup last Friday. Our "little" boy is growing up!

Potty Power!!!

Jack started using the potty about two weeks ago and he's doing a wonderful job! He's worn his big boy undies (Elmo and Superheroes) to school and all around Nashville. We're still working on it, but he's very proud of his accomplishment. Jack has proved to me yet again that he is very easygoing, and he learns things on his own time schedule when he is ready. Scott and I are enjoying our diaper budget being cut in half, too!

Circle of friends

I've been blessed to meet so many wonderful friends here in Nashville. Jack has been playing with these kids since he was about 2 months old, so it will be tough for us to leave this circle of friends and all our other amazing TN pals. The kids and parents (espcially moms) had a fabulous time this weekend at Ava's 3rd birthday party.
